What a wonderful sight to be greeted by the most beautiful rainbow this morning - so awesome for the kids to see! My camera doesn't do it justice, trust me it was breathtaking.

My baby has arrived...
After years of yearning for one, I finally have one of my very own. I'm so stoked. Besides my awesome Smeg oven this baby is a welcome addition to Tin Bird. I have to say when it came to choosing the colour, I could NOT decide. The colour is a very personal choice.
I bugged everybody for their opinion, and had to take in a few factors like kitchen scheme and what happened if said kitchen scheme changed? So many decisions eek! After nearly leaving the whole notion of getting a KitchenAid I finally whittled the choice down to two colours: Almond Cream or Boysenberry (purple). It was tough but I did it! One day when I'm famous like Nigella I can have one in every colour!

Pass the Hot Stones please
Have you ever had a hot stone massage? If you can handle a bit of heat from the stones, you are in for a treat! Well actually I'm in for a treat tomorrow as I am having one - yes a bit of me time!
One benefit of the hot stone massage therapy is that hot stones can dilate blood vessels; this enhances blood circulation. This will gradually sedate the nervous system which leads to a calmer state of mind and a de-stressed body. Looking forward to a calmer state of mind.

To Choc chip or not?
Its take-a-poll time - visit Tin Bird's facebook page and cast your vote. Tin Bird's Anzac crunchies original recipe are delicious!! Should this be tampered with and add chocolate chips to them? What would be your favourite? Decisions decisions...mmm
Tin Bird @ i ♥ market
It didn't rain Saturday, well it did a bit in the am. Then eventually the sun appeared and coaxed the Durbanites out. Yay! The market had a great vibe and there were some new interesting stall holders. Thanks to the joy team for organising another fab market. Its not a fantastic pic of the table, but thanks to all who came and supported Tin Bird. Hope you are all enjoying your goodies!

Hampers for your mother
I have put together 3 different hampers for Mother's Day. Each have a special treat to spoil your mom. It's great to get something like this already made up. There's no need to rush around the shops frantically searching for the perfect slippers.
Biscuit packets can also be changed depending what's in stock. Any feedback is always welcome. Send me an email if you would like more info: debbie@bikinidbn.co.za

Anyone for tea?
Working today on new biscuits for Mother's Day hampers... little teacups! Rather charming, with their little blooms. These shortbread biscuits are buttery with a slightly crisp texture. Goes so well, with yes... a cup of tea!
