i heart market is on the move

I heart market is moving to Moses Mabhida Stadium - what an awesome venue! I'm thrilled that my Tin Bird baked goodies and treats will be there this Saturday. This stunning poster was designed by Dominic Strauss. Hope to see you there!

Win shoes for a year!

The thought is just too overwhelming - be still my beating heart!
Win shoes EVERY WEEK for a YEAR?! Wow! I have a definite weakness for shoes; this would be a welcome prize from Mr Price!

Tip of the week

I know the best stock is made from scratch. However, if you are short on time the next best thing is Ina Paarman's stock powder. She has added real stock liquid to her range. They are awesome and make such a difference in flavour to my food.

I've yet to try all the flavours. I use the chicken powder quite a bit. However once the tub is opened, the powder tends to become hard. I found that if I put a couple of bay leaves inside, it magically stops this from happening. Not sure why this works; perhaps the leaves absorb some moisture? Anyhoo, I'm thrilled it does the trick.

If you like me and you have missed the deadline to send a thank you card by post, a birthday card to family overseas or simply a novel way to send a party invite to friends, this has to be one of may favourite internet finds. Smilebox is a simple way to send e-cards etc. but the great part is that you can also personalise them with your own pic's.

The download is free. There are so many designs to choose from and you even get 3 tune choices to play with your card. Music is a tad cheeezy but still one can't be fussy when its for free! You can pay for the full version and get extra's like adding your own music. For Christmas they had one design in particular for kids which was very special. Each of my children got a turn to 'send' a card with their wish list to Santa and the surprise was that he wrote back. The thought behind the design was amazing and my children were absolutely delighted that they got a letter from the guy in the red suit. Crikey! I just realised its 3 months to go until Christmas.

Kids Party Ideas

Yay the Kids Party Ideas magazine is on sale now - this is so handy, even if you don't follow things step-by-step but great for inspiration! It must be quite an undertaking to put something like this together.

I want...

Frankie Magazine's 2012 Calendar; the illustrations are just lovely. I need and love a fabulous calendar on my fridge to help with my daily and monthly reminders. I currently have the Homes & Antiques which has the most stunning photography.

I love their description:  'frankie magazine is a national bi-monthly based in Australia, aimed at women (and men) looking for a magazine that’s as smart, funny, sarcastic, friendly, cute, rude, arty, curious and caring as they are.'

Frankie have the cutest banner image on one page...

Bored of your desktop image? They also have quirky wallpapers free for you to download
